The aim of the research group is to study the language development of Hungarian children, analyzing the phonetic, psycholinguistic, and pragmatic aspects of speech in children of various ages—from preschoolers to adolescents. The group launched and organizes the biennial conference series Language Development from Infancy to Adolescence, and also participates in organizing the public lecture series Child Language Afternoons. Together with the department's student research group, members of the research group established the GABI child language speech database and information archive.
